Deepening Our Connections With One Another
Thursday, May 29, 2025 • 2 Sivan 5785
7:00 PM - 9:00 PMBeit MidrashPanelists include TAA members:
Brent Davison, a local social worker with decades of clinical experience
Melissa Dimond, Executive Director of Wellspring House, which supports members of our community with housing, jobs, and education
Rav Naomi Gurt Lind, the spiritual leader of TAA
Alan Feldman will moderate the panel.
This panel is inspired by a recent book by Rabbi Sharon Brous, The Amen Effect: Ancient Wisdom to Mend Our Broken Hearts and the World. Rabbi Brous writes that “the amen effect…is rooted in an ancient, hard-won wisdom that offers us tools to navigate times of heartache and uncertainty with a deeper sense of meaning, direction, and faith.” The panelists will address issues of loneliness/isolation and the importance of community as they describe how this wisdom has guided them in their professional work and personal lives.
We will begin with refreshments and continue in the Beit Midrash with the panel discussion and Q&A.
