Rav Naomi Gurt Lind
Rav Naomi Gurt Lind (she/her) is dedicated to nurturing and enriching the communal life of Temple Ahavat Achim as its spiritual leader. Currently completing her rabbinical studies at Hebrew College in Boston (ordination expected May 2025), Rav Naomi brings a wealth of experience and passion to her work with the congregation.
She provides compassionate pastoral care, offers insightful and engaging teachings, and leads soulful and musical services, creating meaningful experiences for all. Her commitment to accessible learning is evident in her popular courses through Open Circle Jewish Learning at Hebrew College, Brookline Community Tikkun Leyl Shavuot, and Congregation Shirat Hayam of the North Shore, as well as her innovative Pop-up Mishnah Study sessions.
Beyond her formal roles, Rav Naomi connects with the community through her reflective divrei Torah on her blog, Jewish Themes, and shares her love of music through her past participation in the Zamir Chorale of Boston and local Sermon Slams. In her former role as editor for Hebrew College’s 70 Faces of Torah blog, she helped to promote a wide range of Jewish voices.
Rav Naomi is deeply invested in meeting the diverse needs of the Cape Ann Jewish community. She fosters a welcoming and inclusive environment, inviting everyone to participate in services, classes, and communal events. Her gentle pastoral presence offers comfort and support, and her leadership creates a vibrant and connected community.
In her personal time, she enjoys reading, solving crossword puzzles, and baking her renowned challah. She and her husband Bill are the proud parents of Akiva and Gideon.
