Welcome to the Sylvia Cohen Family Learning Project (SCFLP)!

SCFLP is a warm, inclusive, and engaging Hebrew school for children in grades K-7. Rooted in Jewish values and tradition, our program fosters a deep sense of community while making learning meaningful and fun. Through hands-on experiences, interactive lessons, and family participation, we bring Jewish learning to life—helping children build a strong Jewish identity, develop Hebrew skills, and connect with our rich heritage. Our Rabbi is actively involved in our school community, further enriching our students' educational experience.

At SCFLP, every child and family is welcomed with open arms. We celebrate diversity and encourage curiosity, ensuring that each student feels valued and inspired on their Jewish journey. Whether we’re exploring Torah, celebrating holidays, or engaging in social action, our approach nurtures a love for Jewish learning that lasts a lifetime.

"When I was a kid, my parents would drop me off at Hebrew School and pick me up three hours later. At TAA, families participate in opening and closing circle, are invited to join in the learning alongside our children, and often have programming of our own while our kids are with their teachers."

We are proud to offer Ivrit Chaverim (Hebrew Friends)—a unique program that pairs our 4th-7th grade students with older members of our community. Together, these intergenerational pairs study Hebrew, while building close bonds.

We believe that the family is central to Jewish life. Parents join our opening and closing circles at each Sunday school session. Additionally, parents can deepen their own experience through special monthly study sessions with the Rabbi, fostering family engagement and lifelong learning.

Join us and be part of our vibrant, supportive community!
