Caren Morningstar, Executive Director
Caren is TAA's first Executive Director who brings to us her background in Office and Human Resource Management. She served as a Volunteer Coordinator for a non-profit, was the Russian Resettlement Coordinator at Jewish Family Service of the North Shore and taught Hebrew School. She enjoyed being President of her USY chapter, Editor of her college Zionist newspaper and President of Hadassah. She has raised four children and has seven grandchildren who are the lights of her life. She looks forward to sharing her passion for Meditation, Yoga and Reiki with the TAA community.
Her role at TAA is multi-faceted: overseeing Facilities, IT, Security and Communications while supporting Finance, Membership and the many Committees that make TAA such a desirable community to be a part of.
She encourages you to reach out, say hello and let her know how she may be of assistance in enhancing your experience at TAA.

Maya Smith, Office Coordinator
Maya has worked at the Temple for about two years. She has an associates degree in Fire Science and a certificate in Data Analytics. She enjoys spending time doing puzzles, art, playing piano, going for walks and being outdoors.
Jennifer Arvilla, Bookkeeper
Jen works from her home office of Jennifer Arvilla Bookkeeping. She and Jim Garrels connected in May 2023 and agreed to test out the viability of a remote position. It worked very well!
Jen's background in Bookkeeping began with a love of numbers in high school that grew into a love of spreadsheets, software and systems in college. She has worked in several small businesses on Cape Ann including 13 years at Smith Hardware & Lumber in Rockport and 3 years at Babson Company in Gloucester.
She is the proud mother of two sons who are now young adults working in Audio Engineering and Carpentry, both graduates of Rockport High School and both Eagle Scouts. When she isn't busy serving her clients and growing her business, she likes to ground herself in nature by taking walks at Halibut Point State Park and catching sunsets or sights of local flora and fauna. She is a life-long resident of Cape Ann and loves being out on the water.
