Green Kitchen Ladies

ECCO (Essex County Community Organization)

TAA is a member of the Essex County Community Organization (ECCO) - an interfaith group that work on behalf of the working class and poor to secure living wage jobs, increase affordable housing, and improve education and social opportunities for children at risk (please, see ECCO).

TAA members have been successful in facilitating a residents group at a Gloucester state development that has become partners with the Gloucester Housing Authority to improve the physical condition of units (please, see THIS). They have secured a Shannon - an anti-violence, youth development grant, and started a program called "The Chill Zone" for at risk youth in Gloucester (please, see Chill Zone).

Members communicate often with State Senator Tarr and Representative Ferrante to lobby for funding for important programs.

For more information and to get involved, please contact Sam Silverman and Ruth Budelmann.
