Yahrzeits

A yahrzeit/memorial is observed according to the Jewish calendar. It may vary each year from the secular date.

For those who wish to receive a yahrzeit notification, we send them out yearly on the anniversary of the death of a family member or friend. The name of the deceased will be read at our services on the Shabbat preceding the yahrzeit date, before the reading of Kaddish (memorial prayer). Please email the office if you would like to add the name of your loved one(s) to the list or to be notified of their future yahrzeits.

Yahrzeit candles are available at the Temple for $1/candle and in most grocery stores in the kosher section.
