In our congregation becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah signifies becoming a full member of the Jewish community — accepting responsibilities and participating in the joys of Jewish life. Since TAA is a small congregation, we offer our students a truly individualized experience from selecting a date for the occasion to fine tuning the service for added significance. We have bar/bat mitvahed certified geniuses, students with a variety of special needs and individuals who decide to experience this joyous rite of passage in their elder years.

B’nai Mitzvah students and families participate in a series of sessions throughout the months preceding the Bar/Bat Mitzvah. Topics range from developing meaningful mitzvah projects to exploring the challenges, opportunities, and benefits of being a Jewish adult.

Our beautiful building is also available to host B’nai Mitzvah functions. Capacity is 125 for a seated social event and 175 for a standing reception. Our kitchen is strictly kosher and we have a list of approved caterers for families wishing to hosting an event at TAA.

For more information, please contact our SCFLP Director of Family Learning, Alex Marques, by calling the office at 978.281.0739.
