Terezin

The playwright Anna Smulowitz was an educator at TAA for several years.
Her play, which is being performed at The Tank in New York City on Feb. 17 and 18, features as director and actor two cousins of our own Maya Smith.
Anna was born in a Displaced Persons camp in Germany to Holocaust survivors. She has worked as an actor, playwright, educator, and founder of the Newburyport Children’s Theater. A social justice advocate, both she and her play have won numerous awards.
